The demos I saw of FiOS were all very good indeed.

What's most interesting about FiOS is that it's not IPTV. Only VOD
arrves as IP packets. Otherwise, they are providing a very standard
cable TV solution, where the channels are all piped into your home
simultaneously. I like this approach because it's simple, it allows
subscribers to tune to many channels at the same time, and it allows use
of standard cable-style STBs.
