If it is setting a pretty high bar to ask for at least one person on a digital TV mailing list using ATSC that way with only one non-switched antenna then it does not hold out much hope for future PVR'ing ATSC users.

I don;t think the fact that Bert uses two antennas to receive mostly duplicated content is the issue.

The issue is that setting timers in two devices to record a programs brings back memories of blinking clocks on VCRs.

People that use PVRs expect a detailed program guide and the ability to simply mark programs for recording. That's it!

I have an HD PVR from Cox Cable. Not only do I use it with great ease, but I can record two programs simultaneously as I have done on several occasions recently.

I think there could be a market for smart devices that can record content from multiple services - most likely this is going to come from companies like Apple and Microsoft.
