It might be an interesting exercise for you to outline the "costs of continuing on our present course" versus the "minimal" costs of changing to a new modulation system. The only thing missing is the prod that gets the politicians attention and that comes with the actual analog turnoff. The public is not, has not been paying any attention to this. They will in early 2009. Once comparisons begin between where the US is and where other countries are in early 2009 all hell could break loose. Any examination of the last 10 years of this transition will make a lot of Congresscritters look very bad. Maybe Micheal Moore would be interested in a documentary on this. He now seems focused on the evil of money in politics and money in politics is all about broadcasting. Things can change, anything, anytime IMO.
