I guess the analog just above is more of a problem than the other
digital adjacent, right?

Analog on the N+1 channel puts a very strong analog carrier adjacent to
the DTV channel. But there are many examples of adjacent DTV stations
now, even from close together, adjacent markets. I would have thought
such adjacent channels would also be allowed during any potential analog
shutoff extension?

For example, over here, in terms of adjacent DTT stations, we have now:

33 Wash
34 Wash
35 Wash
36 Wash

38 Balt
39 Wash

51 Wash
52 Balt

Only 52 from Baltimore is a problem for reception here. Even with the
3rd gen boxes I have, the others seem to work well. (Outdoor antenna
worked much better with the 3rd gen boxes.)

And they seem to have been approved for the 10-year transition. What's
another (potential still) 4 months?
