[opendtv] Re: DD audio bit rates

the a/52 spec says that the maximum bit rate for services with more than 2
channels is 448 kbps. The maximum bit rate for 2.0 is 128k, when 5.1 (say,
for example, music + effects) is overlaid with 2.0 or 1.0 (say, for a
dialogue associated service) the maximum bit rate permissible is 576 -- 448
plus 128. Not having the spec in front of me right now, I know that there
is also a 192 maximum for something.

I say nothing about normal. I've heard of 5.1's that had a bit rate of 384
or less.
