So what? The retrans consent you are talking about translates to a tiny percentage of the fees charged by the MVPDs. Because you are talking about a handful of channels, when there are so many other channels on MVPDs demanding their pound of flesh. Besides which, DBS has, and has had, bundles that even include the local broadcasters, right?

Correct. And 90% of these fees flow to the congloms that now own most of these non-broadcast networks. r example, more than a third of Disney's profits come from the subscriber fees for the ESPN networks. Take the time to look at who NOW owns most of the cable networks Bert.

Give it a break Bert. Yes customers flocked to cable because
that's where the good content and choice could be found.

Give it up? Give what up? Are you going to pretend that people flocked to cable for the local content and the celebration of diversity that Commissioner Copps was pretending they wanted?

No. They moved to cable for all the stuff you CANNOT watch with an antenna.
