[opendtv] Re: Bob, where are the tunerless monitors?

You are approaching clueless.

"the owners have no intention of selling"

Yep, that's why they (didn't) reject the offer out-of-hand; that's why
instead asked their board of directors to negotiate an editorial agreement
sutable to all parties; that's why they then asked the board to negotiate
the sale.

That's why a few members of the laconic Baldwin Family who lack the money to
buy the company itself, are now trying to do the sale.

Might happen, might not.

But, there is no evidence to support your position, and much evidence to
support the opposite conclusion.

The Bancrofts have 54% of the voting stock, but only about 20% of the equity
in the stock. So, even if there was evidence in your favor, you were only
speaking of a small percentage of the owners. I'm sure the folks without
much voting power but a moribund stock would very much favor walking away
with cash.

Not unlike you complaining about POD not working or workable, when both have
been proven again and again. (Having the metadata tx systems is a
prerequisite.)

Let's see if you can do hat tricks: Why do you think that AT&T u-verse
didn't seek and didn't get a waiwer of the POD/navigation rules? Do you
think they did something wrong?

Last I checked the WSJ is privately held.
And, the owners have no intention of selling.
There might be a price at which they would sell, no one will pay it;
they won't take a stock deal, got cash?
