Well, they are if they were born in the last few months or years.

The car companies gave in to the unions in the 1960's - particularly the
late 1960's. Now, when you're laid off from the companies, you go to labor
pools and play cards all day for 95% of your pay.

For close to TWO DECADES, the car companies have been pimping for national
health care. They want the taxpayers to relieve them of obligations that
were negotiated with unions.

Now, the cost of HEALTH CARE thet the big three thought was nothing to worry
about in their salad days is $2,100 per Ford Car sold, and with GM it's
closer to 3K.

Their business model is DEAD. And, they're just a few years ahead of
newspapers.

But, what we here is that broadcast models are dead. I've yet to hear of a
state governor offering to bail out a TV station. (In the U.S., anyway.)

Ford peaked in 1898 or so (in unit sales).; but they're kinda sow at Ford.
Maybe a few are still scratching their heads over that.

Think about this:

Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the
US,

claiming they can't make money paying American wages. Toyota has spent the

last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US.

The last quarter's results: Toyota made 4 billion in profits

while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses.

Ford folks are still scratching their heads.
