Got your Voice mail. Here is what I think we need to do.
1. Do not respond to their message just yet. Wait till next week after the
holiday. In the meantime:
2. Use the SOW yor prepared for their quote and find another engineering
firm(s) to quote on that work. It should not be hard since you only want a
daily and hourly rate for them to babysit the job. Since we do not have such
data we cannot make a judgement on how the flat $100k compares.
3. Make sure that the firms you go to do not have an affiliation with the
present player, if possible.
4. I know this may take some time but you are going down next week and you
could arrange for meetings with candidate firms while you are there. This may
extend your time down there but it may be worth it.
5.Once you have some sort of hourly and daily rate structure we will then go
back to these guys and make them a take it or leave it offer. At that time Andy
F. needs to be informed. But not now.If they remain steadfast and the new
offers are SIGNIFCANTLY BETTER we kiss them goodbye and take the consequences.
Any questions?
I am off of Email as of this message.
