As Mark correctly pointed out, I was in error. "HD DVD" - no hyphen
- is the correct designation. I still think it's important to
differentiate "HD DVD" from other forms of HD video on a DVD.

My comment was perhaps too general, but it would seem that the bulk
of the work is complete. The disc specs are all at version 1.0 or
higher, the HD video and audio spec is at 0.9, as is the HD video
recording spec. Comparing this to the various parts of the regular
DVD spec that are available, it seems to cover all the bases.

With many of the HD DVD subsystems being at v1.0, this is clearly not
entirely correct. Outstanding DRM issues certainly wouldn't surprise
me, but the basic system would have to be - by and large - a done
deal at this point.

Gee, I knew there was a reason you didn't mention it.

So go ahead and show me the work on red-laser HD? Who creating the
standard? Who's making the players? Who's producing content?
