"But China is the key. "The Chinese will surpass the coal-fired
generating capacity and the CO2 emissions of the US in the next couple
of years," Mr. McIlvaine says."

The US is still the biggest emitter of CO2 anyway you want to measure
it and growing at near the same pace as China. Russia's CO2 is
falling. If you are talking of the socialistic countries of the EU
they are basically stagnate.

First of all, CO2 is not pollution. It is at the very core of all living organisms.

Second it is not clear that the current level of CO2 in the atmosphere is causing ANY problems. There is more scientific evidence supporting increased levels of water vapor as the major influence on climate change.

That higher levels of CO2 are responsible for climate change is simply a matter of conjecture among the politically motivated types who would like to establish a global system for trading CO2 credits. These credits are the basis for taxing developed countries by allowing developing nations to sell CO2 credits. In other words, global socialism.

What I was talking about is REAL pollution - i.e. toxic wastes and unbreathable air.

Craig
