Four channels of BBC, three channels of ITV, a travel home shopping channel, four news channels, two or three other shopping channels, etc. Also there are digital versions of Four and Five. You can view the lineup here: http://freeview.co.uk/whatson/index.html It doesn't seem to me that something like this would fly in the states given our high multi-channel penetration across all socio-economic backgrounds. There simply isn't enough compelling content on the freeview platform. Oh...and there's no HDTV.
