I don't have the stats to say anything so bold. But I do think that if they
needed antenna rotors for NTSC, chances are very good they would need less
or no antenna aiming with the new gen ATSC receivers, yes. And that if they
needed an outdoor antenna for decent NTSC reception, chances are a good
number of those can get by with an indoor antenna now.
Even my STBs get better reception from multiple directions than I got with
NTSC, and they aren't even a letest gen design.
I think if people get equivalent or better reception of ATSC than they got
with NTSC, they won't complain. If there's anything to conclude about the
lack of fanfare, I'd say that's it.
