[openbeostranslationkit] LZW Compression

This may not be an important issue right away, but don't we need a license
from Unisys in order to use the GIF image format and the TIFF image format
with LZW compression?

I know the laws about this are different in some countries, but in the US,
I'm quite certain we need a license for LZW compression. I learned about
this when I downloaded GIMP for Windows and it didn't include GIF support
and the TIFF support it had was only for uncompressed TIFF files.
