No problem in principle, except maybe, that it is GPLed. I'm not sure what
the official politics regarding code governed by the GPL is, though. If it
is a separate component, like a FS add-on (or any add-on), it shouldn't
do any harm.

No need to make haste, I suppose, since they'll need to be ported to the
new API anyway. So, we may as well wait until we have some time to do
