[openbeosnetteam] userland ppp

Been thinking and so what do folks think of this...

When we're using a modem or some other device where a "chat" type script is
required, why don't we just have the userland ppp open the device and
read/write using plain text until it's completed (success required of
course) and then hand off to the ppp devices? This seems to make more sense
to me and means that my fledgling little ppp userland app needs to have chat
added to it. this is what the unix versions do so I'm not overly concerned
and also realise we're in good company.

Anyone have any concerns about this?
