Hi,
the last few days I worked on PPP and changed some of its design. I am using
PPPLayer as a base for the most important classes.
Most important: I could reduce the number of List templates used (nothing
against you, Ingo ;) by combining PPPEncapsulator and PPPProtocol. The binary
size could be reduced from >200K to 143K (as is stated in my CVS log). This is
already acceptable, but still not what I wish it could be. Anyway, those
changes will come at some later point.
I did this because of the netstack bugs. As nothing was working and I first
have to understand how to solve those bugs I took the time to write some PPP
changes.
The next step is to hunt those bugs down, but I will be on vacation from
tomorrow on until the tenth of October.
So, if anybody here wants to kill the bugs, do it and surprise me when I come
back. ;)
Otherwise, could someone please help me to eliminate the bugs?
Keep up the great work, guys!
Waldemar
