Does it make sense for us to create a "nameserver daemon"?  If so, it
could manage updates and requests, rather than the nasty old
/etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf files.  (This would also handle
locking...)

If I get a chance in the next few weeks to get OBOS back up and
running, I'll see if I can get a simple ipnamed going.
