Sadly, no, I did not port that. I thank the person who did. I, along
with two other friends, extended it to add some additional playability.
Thus the name: "Xgalaga: Hyperspace". Our changes included:
- adding accumulating shields that you use at your discretion
- two new weapons
- when you die your maximum number of shots simply drop by 1 rather than
losing all your upgrades
- increased the rate at which you get upgrades by...I think it was 20%.

We found these changes added to the gameplay substantially. You get to
play with your upgrades the entire game rather than losing them when you
first die, which we found enjoyable. Allowing you to use your stored
shields only when you want to makes you think that if you used your
shields perfectly, you would be invincible. This makes the game even
more addicting. :-)

He He :-) I have been somewhat loathe to mess with my BeOS
installation and so have not downloaded any parts of the OpenBeOS
project yet. Obviously this will change soon. :-) I am hoping to ease
into it by doing this bit of development, and then helping out with its
bugs. I do not think that I am knowledgeable enough to help you guys
out with your other bugs...yet.

For these first few months I was thinking that I would simply:
- read this list and learn
- research DHCP protocol
- build a command-line app that does simple DHCP work

And then if I get that completed, I would be in a position to set
development environment up for the more complex tasks of integration.
So I don't plan to suggest touching any existing files for months.
