Well, Linux has managed some respectable (but still not good enough,
imo) latencies with the patches around nowadays.

Recent incarnations of MacOS and Windows are both capable of 
processing audio data with ~1ms latency.

OK - with this in mind, does anyone know what the theoretical latencies
of the newos kernel are=3F
