Hello Agi,
About GUI programming I can tell you that looking at sample code is the
best way to learn.
I also bought "Programming the Be Operating System" from amazon.com and
I think it's a very good book.
If you are already an experienced C++ programmer you can also start
reading the html version of the BeBook, but I suggest you to buy the
other book first. It's quite simpler.
There are also some tutorials on the net:
http://www.flipcode.com/tutorials/tut_beos.shtml
http://www.beatjapan.org/mirror/www.be.com/developers/developer_library
/tutorials/approachingBe.html
And the old good Be Deveoper Area:
http://www.beatjapan.org/mirror/www.be.com/developers/index.html
However, if you haven't got one yet, a good C/C++ guide is a must.
About the calculator, I think that it's not our business yet. There are
other applications that must be done first.
