My freeze problem was in interrupt code. I had to disable output interrupts
when they were not handled by the module. I didn't test but this is the way the
alsa driver manages midi interrupts.
BTW the mpu module is not much work i think. It seems what it does is
activating UART mode and passing the midi data in and out.
