Too late, already clicked it. :-) I wanted to try out
the color printing and had to add a color printer. It
didn't work of course (I read the website later) but
it didn't blow things up. I think I tried using the
Be Printers pref with the print_server after that (or
vice versa) and of course that didn't work either.
Somewhere in there though I reinstalled the originals
for a second and then it worked. I'm back to the OBOS
ones now though. (OBOS Printers, and OBOS print_server)
The OBOS Printers pref looks better with my font anyway. :-)
I'll try using preview and also turning of the=20
processor in midprint. I'll watch the server too to
try to time it at various points. I think that if I
do that it cleans up but I'm not sure. I'll try to
get more specific data.

Fine. And don't click on the Add new printer button in the Printers panel.
I guess this problem is caused either by BPrintJob (the OBOS version
is not implemented yet) or the printer driver :-(
If it's the first case it should be reproducable with other printer
drivers too (e.g. Preview).
What happens if one of the processors is "turned off" during printing?
