ACTFL Early Bird Deadline – Three Weeks Away
Take advantage of the savings now before the Early Bird registration rate
expires on July 11th.After the deadline, the registration rates increase. This
is a great opportunity to use any funds remaining in this fiscal year’s budget.
You will find complete registration and housinginformation on the ACTFL
Convention web site. Remember that all of the meetings and sessions will be
held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center with any overflow at the
Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
Attendees will be able to select from more than 600 sessions, meetings and
special events over the course of the convention, as well as more than 250
exhibits of the latest education products, services, and technologies. There
are two ways to preview the Online Convention Program for this year’s ACTFL
Convention:
Option 1: Search and browse the Online Convention Program as a "Guest."
Anyone may search and browse the Online Convention
Program by clicking on the link below.
ACCESS THE CONVENTION PROGRAM AS A GUEST.
Option 2: Log in with your existing account information (members AND
nonmembers) to search and browse the Online Convention Program.
Take full advantage of various features such as checking your Message Center,
using the "My Schedule" feature to create a personalized schedule, and changing
your Personal Information.
ACCESS THE CONVENTION PROGRAM AS AN EXISTING ACCOUNT HOLDER.
Searching Tips:
Please note that in the
search process you will find three categories for searching the database:
people,
sessions and individual submissions. You may search under "People" by typing in
the presenter’s name. You may select "Individual Submission" to search for an
accepted paper, roundtable topic or electronic poster. Select the "Session"
category
if your submission was accepted as a session, grouped into a panel
presentation,
or to locate a meeting or special event. Still unable to find what you’re
looking for? Try the “advanced search options” located under each of the three
search tabs.
Convention Scholarships Available - Applications Due July 11!
If you have never attended the ACTFL Convention and World Languages Expo, there
are two scholarship programs for which you may be eligible. If you are a member
of ACTFL through November 2012, have never attended the ACTFL Convention and
have registered for the ACTFL Convention, you may apply for an ACTFL/Vista
Higher Learning First Time Attendee Scholarshipof $250.If you are within the
first three years of your teaching career, you may apply for theRobert J.
Ludwig Scholarshipof $250.
