In the video options, if you select 'normal' as your detail mode, it is the
same visual effect as having 'double horizontal', or r_detail 0 and 1,
respectively. A similar descrepancy exists for the difference between 'double
vertical' and 'double horiz & vert', or r_detail 2 and 3, respectively.
