Yes, that is what I thought too. Unless there are changes in the regs that I

Isn't the issue for hospitals still the same? The laws are State laws and
since we still get funds from the Federal government and the Federal government
still defines this as a schedule 1 drug and our licenses only go in most cases
from schedule II and higher, we cannot touch the stuff.

Good Day All,
GNYHA complied a survey in Jan/Feb to see how facilities are handling medical
marijuana and at this time several unanswered questions remained.
At the end of November NYS has modified some of the requirements related to
medical marijuana to include:
· NP’s and PA’s are now able to order the medical marijuana
· The indications for use have been expanded to include chronic pain.
Have any facilities developed, modified or changed policies on the handling of
medical marijuana? I am interested in hearing how other facilities are
handling medical marijuana.
