[nvda] Re: tracking of the Currsor and Web Page Reading

It isn't clear what you want as a feature. There is a read to end command, insert down arrow. You can use either the numpad insert or the main keyboard insert but you must use the down arrow on the main keyboard. You can up or down arrow to move line by line. Instead of first looking for the link by bringing up the links list, why not use the search command, control insert f to search for the word you want and repeat the search until you find it. Or if you want to move to the link first because the word is repeated time after time before you get to the instance you want, then why not use the links list to move to the link, then use the find command to move to the line with the word you are looking for. If you want to repeat the search, the command is control insert f3. Read the current line with numpad up arrow after you move to the result if you want to make sure you have heard the entire line. I don't recall if you need to do this or if the entire line is read when the screen-reader stops on the result. It may just read the word and nothing else on the line. I can't be sure what you are attempting to do and what commands you want to exist in the program. I have attempted to address what it appears you may be asking about.

James

I am sorry for the confussion. I load my Firefox 3.11 browser. After doing CTRL + L, I type www.expansys.ca. After the page loads, I do a Shift + F8 to get a list of links and press "H" until I get HTc S 743 ... . To get down to the line saying "Only price: ... ". I need to use the arrow keys to go from link to link. It would be much faster to do what Jaws does like read line by line. Or Insert - in JAWS and JAWS Key + Arrow keys on the NumPad.
