[nvda] Re: this may be of interest.

Hey Mike and everyone. Mike, I have heard of this program before but never tried it out. I'll check it out though.

Hi, some time ago Michael helped with jarte and got the text to read.
Since that time I have been working with the author of Jarte on getting it to work better with a screen reader.
He now has the menus and spell checker working.
There is still a ways to go,
but Jarte will run from a usb drive and the second beta of Jarte 3 should work much better with a screen reader.
Jarte has a lot of options and is free for the basic version.
The pro doesn't cost much at all and adds several features.
That is not a sales pitch for a program,
however I think it is worth supporting a programmer who is willing to go out of their way and spend several hours to make a program accessible for us. If you need a good word processor check Jarte out when the second beta comes out.
Mike.
