It isn't trivial. However, nor is writing scripts for any screen reader.
It is true that we do perhaps need to offer some additional
configurability here and there, but when it comes to scripting, one
always needs a certain amount of technical knowledge. Unfortunately, our
documentation is very much lacking atm, so writing scripts for the
uninitiated is rather painful - again something we will rectify in time.
