[nvda] Re: still nvda rev1018

It seems to be doing it with whatever synth she uses either E Speak or SAPI 5. It is not completely crashing NVDA because when she brings up the task manager it is still running in the processes tab. I do have a small update to my previous post. It seems an earlier version of Skype 3 could be it because she later told me, it has happened to her mostly while Skype was running. It is still a bit strange that it would happen whether she would be in a skype call or not and the computer just sitting there idle. I have since had her go back to an earlier version of Skype and will let you know if there is any difference. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Curran" <mick@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi John,

Do you know what synth she's using? most likely that would be the first thing to probably die.

Also, does it freze, or unload itself from memory?

Mick

I have had a friend of mine that after about 2 or three hours or so speech on NVDA just seems to die. It has been so random that we have not been able to pin point the cause because sometimes she is not doing anything at all when it happens. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Simone Dal Maso" <simone.dalmaso@xxxxxxxx>

I use Excel 2007 with NVDA all the time, and haven't had that one. In fact that's a major reason why I use NVDA so much. It's not perfect, e.g. when
editing fields, but it's pretty darn good.

Vince.
