[nvda] Re: some skype areas dont read properly with NVDA

The last time I checked the Jaws scripts that are available did not read the slider positions either. The reason behind this is because Skype most times uses non standard window classes and with some nudging from the blind community has started putting in MSAA info into their programming. The problem seems to be that when skype adds new features here and there they sometimes forget to also give it MSAA info. What I see is because the skype scripts developer for Jaws has also not scripted for it that it may take a bit of work from the skype developers to help out the screen readers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen" <whocrazy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [nvda] some skype areas dont read properly with NVDA

Hi there.
I am trying to use skype, and I noticed that when I go to tools, options, audio settings and try to change the recording level and the playback level, NVDA won't read the state of the slider, IE 10%, 40% etc.
Is there a fix?
Thanks.
