[nvda] Re: snapshots of final release

Hi Mike,

Could you please send along your debug.log you get when running NVDA 0.5 1369. I have no idea what the problem is, but thats only because I'm not sure what exactly is breaking for you.

I'm well aware that 1198 no longer works, it was re-built on a different computer to the one its normally built on, the different computer which has a later version of comtypes. However I did make a fix to 1369, but obviously there's still a problem.

If you can provide me with a debug.log I'll look in to the problem, but can't do too much more with out further info.

Thanks
Mick

Hi Michael, I downloaded the 1369 again and it still doesn't work. I get a sound then nvda exits. I will try it on another computer later, but the latest trunk works fine. I also notice when downloading the 198 version it also doesn't work, but the copy I downloaded before does. So maybe something is wrong with the files on your site.
Mike.

Hi Mike,

The latest 0.5 snapshot is 1369, 1198 was the one before that.

There were some issues with 1198 because an important Python package was
updated to a more newer version, however 0.5 was too old to cope with it.

I made some changes to 0.5 so that it would work with the newer version just
like trunk does, so hopefully, 1369 should work just fine.

Please let me know if it does or doesn't, when you are able to try it out.

Thanks
Mick

Hi, the 13.70 works good for me too. I am referring to the snapshots of
the final release of the 0.5.
Mike.
