A few things could be going wrong. First make sure that the dependancies
you downloaded are for Python version 2.5 and not earlier or later versions.
Second the latest version of com types will not work with NVDA. I believe
the version of com types you will need is 2.1 for Python 2.5. Anyone please
correct me if this is wrong. I am not sure if the wiki article has been
updated yet to reflect this having not been there myself for quite some
time.

Subject: [nvda] question about the trunk version of nvda
I have been trying to follow the instructions in the wiki to compile nvda
from source.
But I am getting a default.py error message when I run nvda.pyw
I am figuring I am doing something wrong.
Specifically what happens is.
I do what the wiki tells me.
I run nvda.pyw
It starts up says loading sumsystems then it makes this weird audio sound
and then
it gives something about error in default.py then it exists.
Any help would be appreciated.
Jessica
