Yes, the audio tutorial needs redoing also, as its out of date as far as I
know no new one has been done using the current synth and addressing the
main criticism I have had of that demo in that the voice is far too fast for
a beginner to understand. We often forget this aspect I think. I do not
myself need it hyper fast as it gives me a headache, but some like it that
way and when you are new to synthetic speech, it can be off putting to say
the least.
Besides, so much has altered since the old demo, it might be a nice idea to
redo it.
It needs a user who has some expertise in presenting the features logically
I feel.
Often the writers tend to take things for granted when explaining software
as sometimes is evident here with the talk of running from source, a
practice many would feel too daunting.

Subject: [nvda] nvda Tutorial
Hi,guys,
Some time ago, theer was talk about creating an nvda tutorial on this
list. Did anything ever become of that project?
I was in contact with someone from the US$100-computer-for-the-blind
project out of Texas. They ship a demo of Win Eyes on their computer.
i had asked them why they did not put nvda on those machines that
would not have the 30-minute timeout limitation. The reply I got back
said that they used win eyes because they had a good tutorial for
it.The guy also requested more information about nvda though.
This is why I was wondering if we have a tutorial for nvda now that
people can be pointed to. i think it would be great if nvda was put
on those computers for people. For one, they would have a
screenreader that didn't time out on them every 30 minutes and it
would also help nvda become better known still.
Thanks much.
Doris
