Scroll lock speaks the scroll lock state, it doesn't freeze for me.
However, I'm not too sure where print and pause are on this laptop.

the print key, in other word the 3 keys on the high right side, NVDA stops
running.
could you please test this because now I'm at work and I can't use NVDA on
