Hello,
Jaws is crashing firefox 3 more than a month for me. For sure there was
a change in the firefox and we have to reflect it I just would like to
point out that unfortunatelly jaws 8 and firefox 3 don't work together
for me at all. Jaws can lead FF to crash even when browsing option's
dialogs.

After a bit of testing, I have found the problem may be in Firefox 3
itself. Not sure if anyone else can confirm this or not. But, when I
press alt d to go to the address bar it just seems to crash Firefox 3.
When I re-open it, it asks me if I want to restore a previous session.
This test was done using Jaws 8. However when I do the same thing using
NVDA it does not do this. So, I believe it may be something Mozilla has
changed in the UI that may be the cause.

Hello,
Something has perhaps been changed in the firefox. I found it working
as far as the page retrieving is concerned. It crashes on focus
changes with unknown error when retrieving text from some windows.
I must say I am quite lost in this virtual buffers and IA2 code so I
might be wrong. Perhaps we need just some check because after my
initial test I can see no problems except those error sounds.

yeah Peter, I can confirm the problem. I just downloaded Firefox 3
after registering the dll and am getting the same error sound.

Hello,
Just to ensure: have you also registered your copy of ia2.dll in the
nvda's lib directory using regsvr32.exe? I am going to check latest
nightly of firefox if something is broken or not.

Maybe I am using the wrong version of nvda and thunderbird and
firefox? I got the nightly build and btw I also got the trunk
version of nvda to work. But both with firefox and thunderbird nvda
makes these musical sounds costantly. I do not know what the
trouble is. And also nvda's internet navigation keys are still
active in the compose message edit box.
Thank you.
Jessica
