I agree in the main.  i don't like jfw much,  I am just saying if
someone could add a jfw keystroke emulator it would make the shift over
better.

My partner is a jfw user and this is the problem I am having with her
the keystrokes are note the same.

And she hates espeak,  I use espeak at 100 percent all the time and find
it just the job but each to there own.

option to do it I think and jfw does it why not have a jfw keyboard
emulation as an option making the shift over more pleasant from jfw to
nvda.

I use jfw as an example because like it or not it is the most used
screen reader on the market. maybe things will change.

I don't have any other screen reader on my computers just nvda.

I will just say that I really struggle with object navigation, if there
is an audio tutorial on how to use object navigation i would love to
hear it.

Again I am not having a pop at any of the devs just saying what I think.

P.S.-an exec with gw micro said something to the effect that if one had
the chance it would be best for them to not only have win-eyes, but at
least one other good screen reader. There is so much ground to cover,
and FS has 100 ppl working directly for them(more or less); NVDA has
TWO?! WOW these guys are great!

but as I said before when this topic came up, the system tray dialog
that many screen-readers provide has become such a standard part of
using Windows as a blind person that NVDA should have such a
feature.
If we knew that most blind people who are expected to use NVDA would
read documentation, this would be a minor issue. but most blind
screen-reader users don't learn much about their screen-reader.
Also,
currently, I see nothing directly dealing with how to use the System
Tray in the documentation. There is one very brief reference about
how to open the NVDA menu from the system tray but there is no
section explaining how to use the System tray. Nothing is explained
such as that enter when using the system tray is equivalent to
double
left click, the context menu key is equivalent to single right click
and, according to a list member, the space bar is equivalent to a
single left click. Very few blind people are going to know any of
this and even if this were in the documentation, most people
wouldn't
read it. There are certain conventions, such as the system tray
dialog, that are so common and widespread that screen-readers should
include them.

You don't need it. Windows key B is the windows conmmand for
accessing the system tray.
