[nvda] Re: help with svn revision 204

Hi Marlon,

Right at this point in time I am moving NVDA over to using gettext (which is a very common and documented way for software to implement internationalization and localization).

The very latest commit (revision 206) has gettext support in the source code (source/lang no longer is needed). However, I myself am still learning how to best produce the actual translation files, but will let people know exactly how they can provide them.

The origional way I was doing it ended up causing too many problems with file encodings.

nvda.ini isn't there by default, you have to run NVDA once and tell it to save the configuration on the NVDA menu.

Subject: [nvda] help with svn revision 204

Hello,
Well I am new to svn. I did the following:
/home/splyt# svn checkout https://OpenSVN.csie.org/nvda/
After this I got a nvda folder inside /home/splyt called nvda, but the
subdirectory /source/lang is not there, and the file nvda.ini is not
present also. I would like to work at moment in translations and I've
read a little book about svn but I now don't know very well what to do
next, because it seense that some files are missing.
Thanks
Marlon
