[nvda] Re: help system crashes

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments on this. We did a bit of debugging and now understand why this is happening. Unfortunately, solving it is going to be painful, but we'll manage it... eventually.

One thing I did see in the log was two loads of the virtual buffers, one
on the tree view, and one on pressing f6. however, as I'm sure you are
aware, the log stops when the crash occurs, due to the dwin routine and
messages being launched.

I tried it in notepad just now as I seem to recall the treeview is not
html but the other pane is, and yes, the buffers loaded after f6.
Interestingly, the exit via the system menu did leave the system not
speaking, but there was no actual crash that i could see, so to speak,
and a reboot of nvda once again showed the log ending on the reboot
keypress with no shut down recorded. There were two of the often seen
errors which are suppressed in there, though.
Very odd.
