[nvda] filling out forms + portable nvda

I have to tell you developers that I am extremely impressed with the portable version.
I was at a clients residents when I found myself needing a screen reader. being that the clients system was already bogged down and limited due to iits computer only being a p2 400mhz box with only 128 ram, I was in a hard spot on what to do.
I remembered I had nvda portable on a virtual machine on my macbook, so I grabbed my handy dandy creative muvo v100 and unzipped the files on to there.
then I connected it to the clients system pressed windows key plus r, and typed 
E:\portable-nvda\nvda.exe
and what do you know but a very snappy very wonderful espeak and nvda came up and I am telling you it blew me away, the responsiveness giving the lient's system.
now..... the one biggest thing I haven't been able to do successfully is fill out forms.
allot of the time when the filed isn't tagged right i leave forms mode with jaws and I read the titel of the edit field manually. how do i deactivate the passthrough mode in nvda so I may manually read the page if I have to?
