[nvda] e: re: quick introduction and problems translatingNVDA

Hello,

I'm using wordpad to create the .po. Microsoft word gives me a " not a valid single paged archive message. That's sad, but true. It's because of all the # symbols.

So wordpad or notepad cannot save in character sets. But I bet it's because of that again. I edited the finish string for namevda started" into hungarian, and it said it correctly. And as far as I can see, More never edited the msgid variable.

Otherwise the preferences dialog words ok. Even the about dialog ( beside that last copyright message at the end ) .

Best regards: Tomi

That's odd. If you save as unicode (UTF-8 encoded unicode), the
charset
should be set to UTF-8, not CP1250. If you save as CP1250, then
the
charset is set to CP1250. If I understand correctly, the charset
should
be set to the charset the file was saved in.

The only trouble is with some phrases: NVDA started is still
said in the
beginning when NVDA starts, instead of the thing I set up. The
same
applies with Eck box, not checked, and all my symbols. I don't
get why
this is because I have set it all up and assigned different
messages for
each string. The quick reference guide is still in English as
well.
I'm not sure why that might be. Maybe you accidentally modified
the
msgid strings? I do know that for some reason, the quick
reference guide
won't translate properly for any language. We still cdan't
figure out why.
