[nvda] Re: don't like the new beta

hi Trentan
didn't understand any of that, but followed your instructions to the letter.
the reason why i had to send the logue file as a txt file, is because when i pressed alt while in the logue viewer and arrowed down to save as, pressed enter on the selected name, NVDA, i couldn't find the file anywere - it wasn't in my docs folder so i couldn't create an attachment with it.
so i copied it and pasted it in to a notepad pane and saved that instead.
when NVDA starts, you hear a message, "loading sub systems, please wait."
after that it should say: "NVDA started" - but all i get is the increasingly familia erra sound.
so now i need to know two things:
1: how and whare do i find the saved logue file.
2: how and whare do i find the so called "ini" file so as to delete it.
many thanks once again - Ron

A tip for logging things:

Press Control+NVDA+g, to bring up the "general" settings dialog, then press alt+o, for the "logging level" combo-box, and set it to "debug."

Does this right after NVDA starts, so it can get everything you are doing, which will help the developers out alot with problems. You do not have to save configuration here, as changing logging level is not needed to be done on a regular bases.

You probably are. Try deleting nvda.ini. Also send your copy of nvda.log to
the list, preferably as an attachment.

here i think is the logue file sent as an attachment.
i got to the logue file via something called the logue viewer in the tools sub-menu in the NVDA menu. i've had to send it as a txt file as i couldn't find any other way of doing it.
i don't know how to find the so called ini file in order to delete it.
   thanks Chris - Ron
