[nvda] Re: does nvda have a laptop kb layout?

why can't we just assign our own nvda key?

There are some NVDA commands that use modifier+shift. If we made shift+modifier pass the key through, you would have to press modifier+shift+key for those commands; shift+modifier+key wouldn't work.
