So its a kind of memory in the system thing then. So If i clean the nvda
folder out manually, say by running my portable version and then doing it,
and then do a new install, will that sort it out?

At least the thing is it works after install, but reboot the machine and
the error occurs when you attempt to run nvda.
Oh dear. Mick has seen this issue before (with many earlier snapshots),
but we didn't think anyone else had experienced it yet. The problem
relates to the uninstaller scheduling files for deletion after reboot.
We stop the uninstaller from rebooting, as we're about to reinstall
anyway. However, it seems that the installer then installs the new files
(or perhaps just detects that they're already installed), but doesn't
remove them from the scheduled deletion list, so they then disappear on
reboot.
We've never quite been able to work out what causes this to start
occurring. I suspect that maybe the introduction of the service has made
it more prevalent, although I don't think it is the "cause" as such.
Unfortunately, I think the only solution is not to run the uninstaller,
which makes things a bit painful.
Thanks for reporting. We'll need to fix this before 0.6, but I can't
promise a fix in the immediate future. In the meantime, you could try
uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling.
