[nvda] adjusting voices in festival?

Hi,
I'm starting using the italian festival voice, thanks to Olga that helps me.
Now the problem is that this voice sometime goes in distorction and the sound 
is not very good when the voice pronounces some consonant like "t".
the question is: what can we do to adjust this problem? I don't think this 
depends of NVDA, because unfortunately these voices are quite old, but they 
sounds ok without NVDA.
