[nvda] Re: accessing NVDA through the run dialogue box

I don't see any reason to do this. I am not aware of any other program doing this whether it creates a short cut or not..

Subject: [nvda] Re: accessing NVDA through the run dialogue box

There are two ways to have programs run from the Run dialog without specifying a full path: 1. The directory containing the program must be in the path environment variable. By default, this only contains Windows folders. You can set this from Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables -> System variables. I wouldn't recommend adding NVDA to the system path, though.
2. There is a key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths
where you can map file names to full paths. This is where wordpad and dialer are mapped. We could possibly consider doing this in NVDA's installer, but since we map a shortcut key already, is there much point in doing this?
