Chris, this is another stupid situation where you need to see to turn on the
accessibility! Shades of Open Office. Anyway I'll do my best to guide you.

Start Skype. When it's made its startup noise, press Alt to get the menus.
Press the right arrow 4 times to get to the View menu, press Enter then up
arrow. That should place you on Accessibility. The submenu has two items, both
of which you need to check, So it goes something like right arrow, Enter, right
arrow, down arrow, enter. Having done that, restart Skype and with any luck
you'll be motoring.

Hope that was clear enough but if not ask again.

Subject: [nvda] a question about nvda and skype.

  Hello folks,
I am using nvda on windows vista, and use it with skype 3.5. My question is:
what is the best way to have NVDA access the menus of skype? I know it has no
problem reading the members lists, and it does a good job reading text chats.
but when it comes to accessing menus i am in complete loss. That makes it
impossible for me to initiate text chats, or to send files etc. Any advice?
