Here's the info about my crash of Filfre.
Experiment 1
Line count = 109,
Word count = 710,
Character count = 4019
Experiment2
Line count = 108,
Word count = 710,
Character count = 402
Number of moves = 9+3 spaces
Experiment3:
Line count = 112,
Word count = 707,
Character count = 401
Error: The instruction at "0x73f11e0b" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "read".
As you can see, the experiments yielded that the word count is about 707 to
710. I was playing Huntdark, which I copied from BrailleNote. Although, I can
save, and then reload it again, and it will work fine. So, I have no clue what
the error is.

Hi Timothy,
Yes, you're right - not off-list.
I'm using the latest Filfre, and considering that you have just downloaded
it, I suppose yours is the most up-to-date too. I think the best solution is to
count the number of moves you make, and possibly copy the error and send it
here (you can do that with Jaws by pressing ctrl+insert+w when on the error
window, don't know about NVDA).
Good luck!

What version of filfer do you have just to be on the same page. I will
reproduce the error and give you how I did it. Maybe I should count the number
of moves I made as well?
Don't think it should be taken off list now... It's generating a lot of
interest as far as I can tell. Would be perfectly fine with me either way,
though.

Filfre does? Weird. Can you please show me the error? Also, I think
we'd better discuss this off-list as not to clutter the list, and then post the
inclusion here.
Be well!

For some odd reason, the program crashes after a certain number of
moves. It doesn't do it with JAWS, though. It confuses me very much.

Hi there Timothy,
There is none that is read automatically by NVDA, but you can use
Windows Frotz that reads the text with SAPI5. Other than that, Filfre is really
great, and you can read the text with the object navigation. Just press
insert+shift+left arrow a few times and check to see if you see the text you
should be seeing. Go to http://www.ifarchive.org, the programming section, to
find Filfre.

Hello,
Can someone recommend me a good z-machine interpreter
(Interactive fiction)? I tried using WinFrotz revision 53, but no luck. I would
like NVDA to read whatever's on the screen automatically as well.
Hope you can help,
Timothy
