Cannot see it myself. If they have a mail client and not a news one, its
just daft in my view, especially as its been written and downloadable from
their website.
Still, I think a lot of people will still be using xp for some years unless
some really killer reason comes along to change. If money was still sloshing
about things might be different.

Unless it falls over, as mine did recently, I have stuck to the MS stuff
so
far. Vista comes with Windows Mail, not to be confused with Live Mail.
Windows Mail is Outlook Express in all but name, and NVDA announces it as
Outlook Express except when reading the title bars.
It's good to have Seamonkey as a backup if things go wrong, though.
No doubt the Windows 7 scenario has been brought about by all the lawsuits
over anti-competitive practices that MS has faced recently.
Vince.

A lot on here are using Thunderbird and Seamonkey.
I cannot see the logic of Microsoft of removing a basic get you going
email and news system.
It surely will not help anyone who is new to computers get on line.

the only one is that vista and above will not have outlook express.
my advice is to switch away from ms to something like eudora.
if you must use ms then use outlook.
I had a user on here say his work had outlook and he wanted to use it
but
he did not have issue with eudora.
so I said he should use eudora.
no real crashes and when they happen a chance of email recovery.
its linux compatible maybe mac to at least v7.1 is there is a
thunderbird
version but last I checked, last year it was inaccessible and still in
beta.

I think he meant trying the shortcut while you were in the difficult
part.
If you bring up task manager while its running does it still work
slowly, an
then you could look at the processor usage for that software.
I wonder if its the 99 percent processor use problem again.

Hello,
If I alt tab away from window's mail nvda works fine.
It's only when I am in that program and specifically wanting to move
an
e-mail to a folder or looking threw the e-mail folders on the server
then it is hopeless. Hth.

I think it's the fault of nvda that window's live mail seems to be

It works quickly using jaws. I suppose this is because jfw has a
display
manager?
I very much doubt it. A display intercept does not increase speed; if
anything, it can slow things down.
It sounds like we might be getting too many events or some such. When
it
lags, are commands such as NVDA+f12 to read the time also slow to
respond?
