Hi. I disagree here. The IBM voices are telephone voices and they are not clear and crisp as the Eloquence voices. I have Openbook 7 and they sound dreadful compared to the Eloquence voices which are supplied with Openbook 8, Jaws and WE7.

Why not contact IBM and find out if you can vuy Via Voice from them. Whatever technical differences exist between Via Voice and Eloquence, the synthesizers sound identical or so close that you can't tell the difference unless you make a minute study of them. You would be just as pleased with Via Voice as with Eloquence.

Hi,

Welcome to the list! As for your question about the Eloquence synthesizer, jaws and window eyes come with a license for eloquence. Eloquence by itself is not free. You may like the more human sounding voices in the festival driver, but someone else can give you a link for that, *smiles*. Someone gave me a version of NVDA with that driver and some very good voices, but it's huge, so can't send it anywhere.

Hope this helps.

i've been downloaded NVDA and started to use it.
but i found it's:
synthesizer doesn't familiar to hear.
could i get synthesized speech instead of that one?
as such eloquence synthesizer, it's easy to be, i remember that i saw
eloquence synthesizing in window eyes exact of JAWS one.
please guide me to some where on the internet which might be containing:
