Hi. I disagree here. The IBM voices are telephone voices and they are not clear and crisp as the Eloquence voices. I have Openbook 7 and they sound dreadful compared to the Eloquence voices which are supplied with Openbook 8, Jaws and WE7.-------------------------------------------------- From: "Gene" <gsasner@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 31, 2009 4:09 AM To: <nvda@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [nvda] Re: What to up-date?Why not contact IBM and find out if you can vuy Via Voice from them. Whatever technical differences exist between Via Voice and Eloquence, the synthesizers sound identical or so close that you can't tell the difference unless you make a minute study of them. You would be just as pleased with Via Voice as with Eloquence.Gene----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Roberts" <bigd.vi.guy@xxxxxxxxx>To: <nvda@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, March 30, 2009 6:55 PM Subject: [nvda] Re: What to up-date?Hi,Welcome to the list! As for your question about the Eloquence synthesizer, jaws and window eyes come with a license for eloquence. Eloquence by itself is not free. You may like the more human sounding voices in the festival driver, but someone else can give you a link for that, *smiles*. Someone gave me a version of NVDA with that driver and some very good voices, but it's huge, so can't send it anywhere.Hope this helps. if you are about to die, consider how good life has been to you so far. If life has not been good to you, consider how lucky you are that it won't be bothering you much longer.----- Original Message ----- From: "mostafa almahdy" <mostafa.almahdy@xxxxxxxxx>To: <nvda@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, March 30, 2009 7:41 PM Subject: [nvda] Re: What to up-date?Hello firstly, let me to introduce myself in briefly my name is: mostafa muhammad taric almahdy. nationality: egyptian sitizen age: young adult guy. subscription purposes. am here because of the following: one: to update my knowledge in daily about the NVDA two: to compare among it's features and JAWS ones. three: to answer the following question: can NVDA replace JAWS? and finally:to communicate with each other and meet new friends from allover the world!.let me to launch my questions about NVDA in the section below i've been downloaded NVDA and started to use it. but i found it's: synthesizer doesn't familiar to hear. could i get synthesized speech instead of that one? as such eloquence synthesizer, it's easy to be, i remember that i saw eloquence synthesizing in window eyes exact of JAWS one.please guide me to some where on the internet which might be containing:the eloquence synthesizer. to download it and install it. i don't think that's not difficult to do. any suggest or recommend, that extremely would be appreciated!!. mostafa muhammad taric almahdy egyptian sitizen skype account: my_speaker On 3/30/09, Adrien <adriencollins22160@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:Hi I have just been on the website, I have looked through it but am still none the wiser, what link do I need to click on to get the snapshot?
